2003 promises to be a great one for The Lucy Opry! Beth & Will have lined up another great series of concerts. Many of our longtime favorites are returning, and quite a few groups will be making their first-ever Memphis area appearance. Be sure to check out the schedule, familiarize yourself with the artists you don’t know by visiting their websites, listening to their recordings, and COMING TO THE SHOWS! (don’t forget to bring a friend!)
One change for this year is that the ticket price for all shows will be $15. Trying to present the best in bluegrass, in a superb venue, at a reasonable price, doesn’t leave much money for advertising, and many incredible performances have been given to houses that were less than half full. It breaks our heart to know that so many folks are missing out on so much great music! It seems that, by not having the resources to purchase advertising, we are “hiding our light under a bushel” and we hope that the admission increase will provide some much-needed money to help spread the word.
In 2003, advance tickets to all shows will be available for purchase at every concert. Cash, check, or money order only, please.
